Your privacy matters to me — not just because it’s the law, but because I don’t like people in my business either. Below is everything you need to know about what I collect, how I use it, and how I protect it while running this weird, holy corner of the internet.

1. What I Collect (and Why)

When you visit my site, shop, or subscribe to The 13th Room or any related content, I may collect:

• Your name and email address (for subscriptions, comments, and updates)

• Your shipping address (if you buy something physical)

• Payment details (processed securely through Stripe, Substack, or another platform)

• IP address and browser data (for analytics and spam prevention)

I collect only what I need to:

• Send you what you asked for (zines, posts, sparkly nonsense)

• Process payments and fulfill orders

• Improve the website and understand how people use it

• Keep the vibe safe and the trolls out

2. How I Use Your Info

Your data is used only for the purpose it was collected. That means:

• Email addresses are used for newsletters, replies, product launches, or updates you opted into

• Purchase information is used to process your order, send you your thing, and handle any support you might need

• I may occasionally send you something delightful you didn’t know you needed (but always with love, never spam)

3. Cookies (The Digital Kind)

This site may use cookies to:

• Track basic analytics (which pages people visit, what links get clicked)

• Remember who you are when you log in or comment

You can disable cookies in your browser if you like, though the site might act a little funky without them.

4. Sharing Your Data

Short version: I don’t.

Longer version:

• I do not sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone.

• I may share your info with trusted third-party services who help me run the shop or newsletter (e.g., Stripe, Substack, Ecwid). These folks are bound by their own privacy policies and secure systems.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Know what personal data I have about you

• Ask for a copy of that data

• Request changes or deletion

• Unsubscribe from newsletters or request to be “forgotten” (no spiritual judgment)

6. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored via secure platforms (Substack, Stripe, Ecwid, etc.). I don’t keep printed spreadsheets or passwords on post-it notes (anymore).

I take your trust seriously and do everything in my power to keep your info safe.

7. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. If it changes in a meaningful way, I’ll let you know through the usual channels (probably Substack, possibly interpretive dance).
